are down so far this year from the 36% he basically shot his first two years from 3. I am guessing it will normalize.
His defense this year has also not been great. I thought he was good last year in that area, but hasn't been this year.
I also think that despite a healthy total of assists (not great, but pretty good) he isn't a great passer. But he certainly isn't bad.
The funny thing is that I can see both sides of the argument. Sometimes I think he is overrated by BYU fans. Other times I think outsiders are discounting his value.
I plan on him being the starting PG next year, but that would change if they signed Burries. Just like he isn't the starting PG on this year's team. Doesn't mean he won't start and share that role, but I'm hoping coach is realizing that sharing that role is not working. Let someone take the reigns and the other one can certainly help. But the offense should be started consistently by one or the other.
