It’s not even a matter of seeing himself at DE. He tried and couldn’t put on good weight to play the position. LB is for
sure where he needs to be from his natural body’s POV, but he isn’t quite fast enough to surpass the guys ahead of him. He could get a shot at another P4 program, but I think he is slated to be a very good LB in a USU defense.

He may even use this as a means for motivation to dig deeper and find something within himself to elevate his game, speed, size, etc, but for whatever reason he hasn’t been able to find that at BYU yet.
