He's changed his approach at the plate. He's not longer swinging for the fences,
and it reflects in his stats. OPS in 2023, granted still 150 points less, was highest since his MVP year in 2019. Last year was a bit of a down year from 2023, but still much better than 2021-2022. His WAR the last two seasons was highest since his MVP year as well, but well below that year also.
