I have to say that owing no one any amount is truly 'freeing'.

I monitor the CC religiously, and pay it 2-3 times a month. We both have an 'allowance' account that we use our own checks or debit card for purchases outside the 'budget'.

I did make a mistake this year by paying taxes with a check. I should have got credit card account checks and written it that way, so I could get extra credits from the card. Ah well, next year.
