up today. I get that every offense isn't Buffalo, but they game planned Detroit perfectly and especially exposed how bad our LBs are right now. If you don't follow Detroit at all, their starting front 7 has been hit to the tune of 5 season ending injuries, 2 other starters in and out with injuries and 2 other replacement starters out as well, but backups also seeing significant injury. Jack Campbell who is a first year starter is the only guy in their front 7 who hasn't missed time and he and DJ Reader are the only ones likely to play anymore before the playoffs. It could make for an early exit.
The secondary isn't much better especially after today(2 likely gone for the year), but Detroit signed a couple of injury prone CB's and that's exactly what they've been.
Bottom line is Detroit could/should be the team in the NFC, but playing 4-5 guys significant snaps that weren't in the league to start the year(likely to keep growing) and getting them to not only gel but be productive is a tall order. The team still controls their own destiny with 3 left, but its one of those things that the team looking destined to actually compete for it may not have enough healthy bodies to get through it. Its a tall order to ask any offense to score on every posession which is basically what they'd have needed to do today and could continue with the healthy of this team
