BYU boosters are reportedly paying AJ $5 million.

Assuming there is a finite amount of BYU booster NIL money, I'm curious to hear the collective CB wisdom on whether they would have spent the money that way.

Ohio State reportedly has the highest paid football roster in the country at nearly $20 million. So hypothetically $5 million could buy you 1/4 of Ohio State's roster (1/4 of their starters, 1/4 of their backups, and 1/4 of their developmental players).

Non QB's who are All-American caliber reportedly get close to $1 million a year.

So would you spend $5 million on the best Class of 2025 basketball player in the country who by all accounts is the heavy favorite to be the #1 pick in the 2026 NBA draft, or would you bring on multiple all-American non-QB players (or altneratively bring in players equal to 1/4 of tOSU whole team in talent)?

I LOVE having AJ committed, and my answer to the question above is "lets do both!!!", but I have to admit I think if you add $5 million worth of talent to this year's FB team, they're probably undefeated and the #2 seed in the CFP and that gets me more excited than landing the #1 basketball recruit in the country.

PS - this soon will not be a hypothetical question. With the looming changes in college football and teams being able to pay their athletes $20 million a year, BYU and every other school will have tough decisions to make on how to allocate that $20 million.
