Could even be fun to have cross conference games the week of CCG
Have 1 and 2 from each conference play for the BYE and then have 3-5 seeds playing other 3-5 seeds from other conferences. Would help decide who deserves the at large bids. Should Indiana be in ahead of Alabama? Why not just have them play during CC week? I know that’s essentially expanding the playoff, but I’m all for more games between the best teams.
Miami is upset they didn’t make it, maybe this would’ve given them a shot to play Tennessee and get an actual big win before the CFP selection. BYU could’ve got one more shot(probably against like Ohio State, but it’s a shot).
