It’s just completely different due to schedule, structure, roster management, relationship with NBA team, etc.
In college, it’s a lot more structured and the schedule replicable week to week so it’s easier of players to know what to expect and be in a good rhythm throughout the year. Also way more practice time in college, so you can run more structured offense and defense compared to a GLeague team. Also the relationship and connection to the NBA team can pretty big effects on it’s GLeague team.
In regards to KY, I always thought it would take a year or two before he really adjusted and understood how to effectively coach a college team due to how different it is compared to coaching in the NBA and the GLeague on and off the court. Big 12 play this year will be a big learning experience, especially road games.
