One time in Brazil after drinking from a family's well, I asked if I could use
their bathroom. It turns out it was an outhouse about 15 feet away from the well hidden behind some banana trees. Yeah, that didn't turn out great but it made for a career of telling that story to my 7th grade science students and how grateful they should be for clean water.
