If anything the typical Nike deals are closer to pay for play than anything in the current NIL space.

Those contracts are full of performance bonuses including specific stats, games played, MVP nominations, and championships won.

Nil isn't allowed to have any of that. Quid pro quo is already required in NIL agreements. So what if someone pays a load of money to a kid for a charity appearance just because he enjoys watching his team win? Why does that need regulated? Why does that freedom need to be stripped from the kid or the donor?

You cannot create a law or regulation without infringing on someone's ability to do something. Often times there is a near 100% consensus that certain abilities should be restricted. I don't see that consensus here. I've yet to see any basis other than "fans want parity". Not good enough for me personally
