I was up a few points, and the Eagles had the ball. They were ahead late and deep in Atlanta territory trying to kill the clock more than necessarily scoring.
An easy swing pass is thrown to Saquon Barkley, who was on my team. I didn't need the points, but he either scores, or gets a first down which enables Philly to kill the clock and win the game. The ball hits him in the hands, and he drops it, stopping the clock. Atlanta stops Philly and gets the ball back.
No matter. They have to drive the whole field, and the only way I can lose is if Drake London racks up a ton of points for Atlanta. They march down to the red zone without London doing much. And then London scores the go ahead touchdown with almost no time remaining. The other dude's team goes up by less than a point.
EVEN THEN, on the last play, Saquon is wide open and will get 20 yards or so before anyone can touch him. Instead, Jalen Hurts actually glances at him and gives a rather lame effort at trying to run the ball himself. The pass to Saquon would've put me back up. I lose.
It's my only loss on the season. Same guy's team almost came back again when I had a 95% win probability. They're my kryptonite, it seems.
