my wife won a television courtesy of BYU Broadcasting at the game last evening.
What did she do to achieve that? She saw a guy with a camera slowing making his way up toward our section and when he pointed the camera in our direction she cheered like crazy (haha). The next thing we knew, a beautiful picture of her appeared on the big screen and I was somewhere in the background. We thought that was the end of it but a few minutes later a woman from BYU Broadcasting advised Maralea that she had won the grand prize. (They didn't announce it over the stadium loud speakers, though, so we had no idea what was going on.)
Think of it, among all those 65,000 cheering fans, my sweet wife was deemed the cheeriest. She has adopted the law of the elf: “The best way to spread [BYU] cheer is to [yell and scream ‘Go Cougars’] for all to hear.”
GO COUGARS!
Pics to prove it really happened (haha).
My wife is the blonde far left next to our son, his wife, and our niece (I'm the picture guy)
My wife is on the right in the screen above (I'm screaming behind her, but we didn't get the TV because of me)
Our group, with my wife proudly displaying the prize (it's the first time she's won anything so this is a big family deal)
How about one more pic for the road
We have seven tickets to the CCG that we now have to sell (dang it). Maybe the TV will make up some for the upcoming financial loss on our optimism that BYU would be playing next Saturday.
