I would have hoped the committee would have come to their senses, but Tulane
being ranked ahead of Iowa St. and BYU in the last CFP poll did leave the question open of whether the committee would have hosed the Big 12.
If Tulane had finished out with wins over a 9-win Memphis team and a 9 or 10 win Army team would have given the committee some ammunition to keep Tulane ahead of an ISU or BYU big 12 champ.
