I had a boss a few years ago that was brought up on stage at our annual kickoff meeting and given an achievement award
and with it $5,000 cash.
When I congratulated him after the meeting he handed me $500 cash. I know he gave the same thing to the others on our team. Not life changing kind of money obviously but man I loved working for that guy.
