By "higher" I just mean higher than a normal smoke.
I like 350. I can see why some might like something closer to 300. I've also seen some dudes on the smoking shows say they like 400.
But the main point is, unlike beef or pork you don't really need to start at 180-225. Go ahead and start at a higher temp.
