I’ve come to realize that most successful coaches at this level aren’t
advocating for fair treatment or correct rule enforcement. He and Whittingham desperately want the game to end once they have a lead because they’re afraid they’ll screw it up.
He needed that game to end and he’d argue about whatever he could to make that happen.
