Poor game plan. Defenses more often than not have to play reactive football. Hill’s game plan wasn’t great in the first
half, but the defense also had to deal with short fields, turnover on the squib kick, etc. I usually give defenses a break as long as the game is still in reach and they show they can adjust at halftime - Hill is very good at this.

The offense came out flat, gave the defense a short field instead of pinning them deep on 4th down, and the OL got dominated. Offenses do not need until halftime to make big adjustments because the defense has to react to what they are doing. ARod’s game plan and/or Jake’s ability to carry it out efficiently is an issue.
