We are playing in a SYSTEM.

This system is set up to self promote the SEC and B1G. When they lose to each other, “quality loss” and basically drop one or two spots and still in the hunt for everything.

Any other conf essentially can’t make a mistake. Its not too different than when BYU was in the MWC. We had to be perfect to get in.

Jow many 2 loss SEC teams are still in the playoffs? How many 2 loss teams from the Big 12 will make it? Zero. How many 2 loss ACC teams will make it? Zero.

You get the picture.

The committee only hates BYU ‘this year’ because they are a threat to upset the system. They don’t want to rank us too high (and it would be any Big 12 team in their spot) to take away one of the P2 teams spot.

We win today, they’ll bump us up to 9 or 8. Win vs Houston, we go back to six-ish or seven.

Win the Big 12 championship, highest we move is 5. With only one Big 12 team in.
