That would still keep importance on the CCG but also allow top seeds the opportunity to host a home playoff game, though it would be against relatively easier opponents. It also gives actual access to the playoff to every conference. Some would argue that those bottom few teams aren't good enough to include, but I would counter that point by saying neither are the 13-16 seeds in the NCAA basketball tourney, but they still are given a shot and nobody has a problem with that.
