I think it's geared towards people who are cultured.
Didn't get a lot of that growing up in New Mexico. Not sure I miss it.
I am probably going to offend all of you who are well bred, but I have always thought that some (not all) of the fans of opera, ballet, and Broadway mostly like the appearance of being a lover of the arts. I also think it is an acquired taste. If I have to work at it to enjoy it, what's the use?
