refill 2-3 times as you've described. As far as dislodging debris, I've always heard that was more of a risk with a full flush. Though I suppose that could happen with a simple drain. I tend to think that concern is overblown anyway.

My truck's pan doesn't have a drain plug, so it's a pain to do that.
