Yeah, the tests with the BMW RWD 3 series on snows vs Subaru AWD on all seasons were eye opening to me, the only
Test the Subaru won was acceleration, all other handling and braking tests the RWD car blew the AWD on all seasons out of the water.

Now imagine AWD with snow tires.

In Sweden, snow tires are required. I had a rental with studded snow tires. Sweden doesn’t spend $$ plowing their roads nor do they salt them and ruin your cars.

They just require snow tires and in some areas studded, and you can drive really well, even on compact and slick snow/ice.
