Yes, "quality loss" is less about the team they lost to and more about the team
that lost. Pretty much every loss by Alabama or Georgia or Ohio State will be "good losses" regardless of who they lost to. BYU could lose to any of those three by 1 point and the CFP committee would really hesitate to call it a "good loss" and would knock them down.
