chalk it up to their personalities, annoyances, etc...like some people are bad drivers others are bad a keeping track of their things. It simply doesn't bother them enough to change their habits and improve their efforts to make it stop.

Between push button start cars, and keypad entry locks, losing keys is much less frequent in my house.
