bottom 5 P4 team. That’s not pessimistic that’s just calling it what it is. I was hopeful that we would sneak one in and pull one over on the CFB world and get into the playoff. We are not anywhere near an actual top 12 team. We are probably in the 25 to 40 range with the chance to steal one or two wins.

I’m also working on preliminary plans for an alumni tailgate in Arlington should we somehow find our way into that game. I don’t think it happens but I sure hope so.

I think there’s a misconception that fans are either optimistic or pessimistic. That if a fan predicts a loss they are pessimistic. I (and the rest of America) see a likely ASU win Saturday. I’m not a hater. American bettors and media aren’t haters. They are making a guess based on what they’ve seen. And the trend the last month has been up for ASU and down for BYU. That’s not pessimistic. That’s just what is happening.

I’m definitely not optimistic and I don’t know how anyone could be optimistic with this staff.
