moving to "out for delivery". They said I should get it Thursday, so by golly they won't deliver it until Thursday even though it arrived in Salt Lake on Monday.

I used to have that problem with USPS at my old house. The local post office always delivered stuff to the wrong address

We had that issue many times as well. I figured it out that they were doing that to meet Amazon’s delivery deadlines.
