Lol at the downvotes — it's a fair question
Lots of teams struggle in the red zone. That's why people pay attention to RZ scoring statistics, because it's important and it isn't easy.

It's also common for teams to score from outside the red zone, but I don't hear nearly as much talk about statistics on scoring plays from further out. If a team is good at chunk plays, and not so good at scoring in the red zone, why not favor the thing that is working?

If this is such a terrible idea, I'd love to hear what I'm missing.
