He's definitely a hero
He is anti-woke, probably mostly because one of his kids went trans and he has terrible regrets about that.
He is a free-speech proponent and saved free speech by buying Twitter.
He is an amazing inventor with unusual out-of-the-box thinking.
He loves his country. He knows we're spending ourselves into bankruptcy and is willing to roll up his sleeves and fix the problem.
If he is successful with DOGE and gutting our government, he will have done more for our country than anyone since the founders.
Would I want to work for him? Maybe not. Is he perfect? No. He's just what we need though.

I agree - he is smart and has done amazing things for science and technology and the USA. But he is fairly criticized

Yes, I understand that. They should realize that Elon needs them more than they need Elon, unionize, and demand higher
