He has done a lot to preserve free speech, no doubt. But he has also hurt free
speech by using his massively influential platform to spread lies and misinformation.
Free speech is a blessing and a responsibility. He understands its a blessing. I'm not sure he understands the responsibility of using free speech wisely.
His position has made him an important steward of free speech in America. Part of that stewardship is not exploiting it. He has not taken that stewardship seriously enough, IMO.

I agree - he is smart and has done amazing things for science and technology and the USA. But he is fairly criticized

Yes, I understand that. They should realize that Elon needs them more than they need Elon, unionize, and demand higher
