Everyone thinks it’s 100% on Kalani that Tuiaki stayed so long, so why on earth isn’t his new DC 100% his responsibility as well?

However I can honestly admit there are many fans, here on CB even who would know more than me about what happens inside the program.

From my casual perspective, if he as the head coach was responsible for his past assistant coaches, then he’s responsible for his current ones.

Or do we want to press the issue of his responsibility and authority further? I’ve heard people say he was forced to hire Detmer. And urged if not forced to keep Lamb. If Kalani’s bosses can force him to dump Tuiaki and hire hill, then I would go ahead and believe he was also forced to hire Detmer and Lamb.

And if all that’s true then he’s really not responsible for a lot of this then is he?

But I’ll remain a casual fan and assume that as the head coach he gets to choose his own coordinators, so he chose Hill.
