He said that this team doesn’t have elite foot speed but they do have great length. I’ve noticed the foot speed issue with or without switching, we’re susceptible to drives against us. We also don’t close out on the 3 quickly enough.

Typically a team with slower foot speed but great length would be a good candidate for zone defenses but it doesn’t seem this will be a big part of KY’s scheme.

All that said, switching can offset foot speed issues and I suspect we’ll still need some time to learn the new defense. We’ll see.
