Everything was off, the stadium felt weird, even the beginning of the 4th quarter festivities weren’t right. (Keep Cosmo in the field, it’s not that cool when he’s up on the sign.)
Agree on the fade…. I hated that call last week at Utah, hated it again this week.
LJ needs 20 touches a game, he’s underutilized.
Jake needs to be a game manager who makes throws on play action and takes what the defense gives him.
Quit with the speed option to the short side of the field, everyone has figured it out.
Also the secondary looked lost for a lot of that game. Give Kansas credit, for keeping us guessing. Oklahoma State gave the blueprint on how to confuse us. Kansas used a lot of the same things: lots of motion, and not showing the formation until the last second notice how their o-line would group together then run to the line of scrimmage and then lots motion.
Our D did play good but there was definitely confusion and frustration and we have to figure out how to get stops on 3rd downs especially on long down and distant 3rd downs.
Lots to work on… hopefully this fuels the fire and changes us mentally, we can’t roll over and die next week against ASU.
