2. Scoring a big-play TD.

That means you can have a quality possession without having any "explosive" or big plays. BYU having a higher Eckel rate simply means that they get the ball into scoring position more often than Kansas does. However, Kansas having such a high "Points per Eckel" basically tells us that IF Kansas gets the ball into scoring position, they are likely going to get points - typically in the form of a TD (or they could get a big play TD that contributes as well). It just means that for Kansas they are more likely to either stall out early on a drive or go all the way for points. You typically don't see a sustained drive that ends in no points from them.
