NIL changes things. Sure, a kid might not make the league, but can he start at Oregon. He can make $250k or more per year, depending upon the position.
I know a 2025 that was in talks for half million to over a million a yr. Even he doesn't make the league, he will have a few million. And can still get a degree from a major university with large alumni network to help him get ahead.
