Look, it's possible to run into idiots who belittle and demean your child anywhere. It could happen at school or Chuck E Cheese or sacrament meeting. The chances are quite a bit higher when you show up at RES dressed in blue to cheer for the Cougars in a section full of Utes. Of course your kid still deserves to experience civil behavior, but as the responsible adult you consider the circumstances and decide how likely that is to happen. I think it's naive to think everything will go great, but we can agree to disagree.
