Not a tremendously deep history between BYU and Kansas (2 games--Kansas has won both).

BYU and Kansas met for the first time in the Aloha Bowl on Christmas Day, 1992.

Kansas denied BYU a 4th straight Top 25 finish when they edged #25 BYU 23-20. Instead, Kansas entered the final poll at #22 and notched their 5th all-time AP Poll ranked finish.

Last season, Kansas beat BYU 38-27 and entered the AP Poll at #24 the next day. The Jayhawks went in and out of the rankings the rest of the season, finishing #23 in the final rankings (their 8th time finishing ranked in the AP Poll).

Kansas has some high points, but not a very consistent football history. In any event, both previous times they've faced BYU they were having one of their top seasons. Hopefully the Cougars can return the favor on Saturday. Kansas' ranked finish last season was their first since Mark Mangino lead them to a 12-1 record and a #7 final ranking in 2007. Prior to last season, the last time Kansas finished with a winning record was 2008, when they finished 8-5.
