...that when all of the teams except for 2 left the PAC12 conference, they didn't need all of those ref teams. Of course the conference let them all go - instead of potentially paying 12 reffing teams on any given weekend, they would never EVER need more than 2. At the very most.

And the best part - they don't need those reffing teams because Utah talked the conference into holding out for more money instead of taking what the media partners were offering - which led to the mass exodus from the PAC12.
