It is more important to have victories over ranked opponents, not opponents who were at one time ranked. If KSU gets
beat KSU falls out of the rankings, then BYU faces a two loss ASU team who just got ranked which means when BYU beats them they fall out of the rankings as well. What is best for BYU is KSU and BYU both beat ASU as ASU is already bowl eligible and that means they will have most likely a winning record by seasons end strengthening both KSU and BYU schedule.
