That image is in stark contrast to the students of the last 20 years
Particularly the kids currently at BYU. So while that may be true for the 50+ age BYU students and fans it is markedly NOT true for more recent generation students.

So leaning into it is imo leaning entirely in the wrong direction of where students are at today, which I think only serves to hurt the image and brand of the university. Thus hurting the school’s ability to achieve its mission to be a flagship for the church.
