At my father's summer company picnic, I and my two brothers had won some of the children's contests and we each had a couple of old silver dollars they had given the winners. We proudly took them down to the bank that week and put them in our savings account. I never in all the world thought that they didn't have a personal safe for my silver dollars so that when I went back to get them that they wouldn't be there. I was too young to understand banking at the time. So disappointed when in attempting to pull them out, I was given crisp new dollar bills.
