I think back to 2001, and how our fan base made a huge stink about our undefeated team being shunned by the BCS, and then they promptly got demolished by Hawaii. A lot of people ended up looking dumb after that.

I honestly think that the real reason BYU has been overlooked is because of recent history—we start great and create a bunch of hype, and then find a way to lose. This team needs to prove it on the field, and then everything else will take care of itself.
