memories from him. I thought that part was interesting about the Boston pops, though not surprised. There are a lot of layers to why that would be the case, but not really worth getting into. Needless to say, Williams is a fantastic composer with an incredible library of works. It's totally fine if he's your favorite composer.
Having said that, he is *almost* always confined within the boundaries of having to write film scores, which limits the overall range of what he can write, though he is the best at incorporating many different styles within this genre. Composers like Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart were much more free to write in multiple genres which allowed them to have very expansive libraries. The amount of music Mozart wrote in his short lifetime was truly astonishing.
