He writes them almost like a movie script removing any flowery or overtly descriptive language. And nearly everything he writes about serves a purpose. I appreciate his writing style because it allows for a lot more to happen in the books than would be able to otherwise.
I compare it to Red Rising by Pierce Brown which is a fun series, but I don't like the writing style at all. There's no emotional attachment to characters and it's just so brief and jarring at every turn. I appreciate slow burns and letting it take its time to develop and then deliver.
