What does "Ivy Plus" mean? Forbes has BYU at #36, over NYU, ...
Pomona College, UC Irvine, Illinois, Notre Dame, Texas, Wisconsin, Cal Poly, Carnegie Mellon, GW, Northeastern, and lots of other well-regarded schools. It's just behind UVA, UNC, Wash U in St. Louis, Emory, and Georgetown.

What subject is your kid interested in? Who has the best program for that?

How much debt is he willing to take on?

Does it bother you that your student will likely be required to take a semester or two of mandatory DEI indoctrination?

Is he willing to pay $80+ to enter the admissions lottery at schools where rates are as low as 4%?

Do you live in Utah? What's it going to be like to have your kid live on the other side of the continent for four years or more?

Finally, will he be comfortable at a school where Latter-Day saints are a tiny minority? Where coed dorms are the norm?

Yeah, we've been discussing these questions at our home.
