Kyle Whittingham and company did many things to make it a cold war.

1. Choosing to not play BYU especially when BYU teams would would peak.
2. Utah was financially superior in the Pac 12. Playing the game was financially beneficial to both teams. Taking the 80K route. Hurt BYU more.
3. Utahs econ department is one of the most Marxist in the nation.
4. He did not say it like it was a mistake. "cold war" is the feeling of the staff.
5. This plan was working until BYU was up graded to a financially superior conference and the free market restored.
6. The Pac 12 downfall is the result of Utahs Marxist input.
7. NIL allowed players to participate in free market capitalism. Marxist under the table deals have no benefit.
8. Free market capitalism saved BYU sports and relegates Communist Utah to its doormat place.
