I turned down an unsolicited full-ride offer from Standferd (and multiple Ivy League schools) after I completed the SAT & ACT exams as a senior. The offer bothered me a bit since I never requested that my test scores be sent to Standferd. Frankly, being indoctrinated into elite liberal snobbishness was not a goal in my life. I've never regretted that decision.
