Keys to BYU winning
#1a - Do not throw a pick six. It's incredible how often this happened. 2019 had one and another returned within Utah's own 10 yard line. 2018 had one. 2017 also had one returned inside the 10 so close enough. 2016 had one. 2015 had 2 and a third that was returned deep into BYU territory. I don't know if it's terrible QB play, dumb luck, Kyle's deal with Satan, or what...but BYU can't let Utah's defense score points.

#1b - Don't commit unforced turnovers. Take the sack. Punt the ball. Play field position. Just don't turn the ball over. In addition to the pick six issues, Utah has benefitted a ton in the past from bad snaps, bad exchanges between QB and RB, and just overall sloppy play. If Utah makes a great play on defense, that's one thing, but BYU just giving them the ball (and this has happened over and over again in the past 10 games) will make it that much harder to get a win.

#2 - Pressure the QB. It's been frustrating re-watching these games over the years to see how much time Utah's QBs have had. Jay Hill needs to bring the pressure early and often. With Utah's QB situation, I think early hits and pressure will pay off as the game goes on even if they have a couple of successful plays early on because of a blown coverage or something like that.

#3 - Stay committed to the run. BYU's had several games where they were successful on the ground against Utah but, for whatever reason, completely abandoned the run. If it's a field position game and running is the safer option and it can wear Utah down, I hope Arod has a great plan to just wear Utah down.
