both make it into the playoff. Of course, it’s very hard to predict before the first CFP rankings have been released but right now I would guess that they would both be ranked between 5-8 if 12-0. I don’t think the loser would drop enough in the rankings to keep them out since their only loss would be to an undefeated top ten team in a championship game.
