The team I was rooting for got out, so if I was watching the last two rounds of the postseason it was just to see good baseball.
So here are my general observations:
-3 batter minimum was a great rule change
-I know they’ve started to go in this direction,
but baseball timeouts should be more like other sports where you have a set number of time outs, and that’s it, no exceptions!
-need more slo mo breakdowns of at bats as pitching is too fast to understand what happened
but when broken down madden-style it’s very interesting
-organ music is nice
-as a TV viewer I actually like fields with deeper walls and more foul territory (I realize this may be unpopular)
-I love stolen bases, but I am biased because this was my favorite part of baseball growing up.
However, they aren’t captured well on TV often.
It would be like in football, they showed a closeup of the QB, and then cut to the receiver with the ball already tackled. “Oop! He got it”
-yankee stadium’s seats look like way too big. Opposite of LES
-dodger stadium has a nice look to it on TV during daylight.
-WS patch over the “NY” looked dumb
-Aaron judge is going to get shellacked by NY media until he, if ever, redeems himself in the postseason
