My dad taught me to like roadtrips. While growing up we traversed the US multiple times - mostly as we were moving to new Air Force assignments. We also did an incredible roadtrip in the early 1970s from Spain then through France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, etc.
So I've carried that into our marriage. We've been on church historical site visits 3-4 times. Part of that was being cast members in the Hill Cumorah pageant. We've been all up and down the eastern seaboard including a roadtrip from Boston up to Prince Edward Island to visit where our daughter served her mission. In 2018 we did a 3,500 mile roadtrip around Spain - which we then did a partial roadtrip of in 2023. In 2019 we did a 7,000 mile roadtrip (3 weeks) to visit the rest of the 50 states that we (I only had 2 left) and my wife/daughter (they had ~30) hadn't been to.
We also like cruising. We've been on 3-4 cruises to the Caribbean/Mexico, a Panama Canal cruise from Florida to California, and an Alaska cruise+tour.
We're now to the point of having been to most of the easy-to-see places (US 50 states, cruises, Spain) - that's is now time for us to extend out to other places like: South Pacific, New Zealand/Australia, Iceland, South America, Europe again (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy), Scotland, etc.
